About Fable

Hi, I'm Eeshwar. I'm a 19-year-old published children's book author studying computer engineering at UT Austin.

I wrote my first book, Tuffy the Barbarian, when I was 14 because I wanted to see myself as the hero of my own story. That experience taught me something powerful: when kids see themselves in what they read, books become impossible to put down.

But today, screens are winning. TikTok and YouTube are engineered by the world's best developers to be more captivating than any book. Childhood literacy is declining, and the algorithm knows exactly how to keep your child hooked.

I don't think we fix this by fighting technology. We fix it by using technology to make reading just as personalized as the feeds kids scroll through every day.

That's Fable. Every child becomes the main character in beautifully illustrated adventures tailored to what they love—dinosaurs, space, soccer, magic, whatever fires their imagination.

I'm using everything I know about storytelling and engineering to give kids something better than another swipe. I'm building a way for every child to fall in love with reading by seeing themselves as the hero.
